“You have the right to keep what is yours, like land or a house. Nobody can take it away from you, unless there is a good law that allows them to do so.”

So, it’s like a reminder in our big rule book (the Constitution) that says nobody can just snatch away what you own. If someone wants to take your things (property), they have to follow the rules and laws properly, and these rules should be fair and reasonable.

In the case we talked about (Pandurang Dhoni Chougule vs. Maruti Hari Jadhav), the Court agreed that Pandurang Dhoni Chougule was the rightful owner of the land. The Court used this Article to support its decision, saying that Chougule’s right to own that land should be respected, and nobody should take it away from him unfairly.
